The other type of thought that arises during my lonely walks are of the past. This morning when I walked to see the sunrise were filled with those thoughts. I thought about the streets I passed. About the runs I went on while on those streets. Then my thoughts shifted to the walks I have been on. The walks that I have been are with the people that I have been on walks with vary by circumstance. There are many reasons why I went on these particular walks. I would have to say the intent of these walks varied between the people participating in them. There are only a sparse collection of walks where I believe all the people in the group knew exactly what the other person intended. Perspective is important. On this specific walk, I came to the realization that the past is golden. That it is impossible to replicate. However, it may possible to use the same prototype in future designs.

Went back home at 12:30sh. Bryan picked me up and we went to Raymond’s to pick him up. Then we drove down to San Jose and picked up Alex. We were planning on going to La Vic’s but we could not find parking so we used a meter. While walking from our parking spot we encountered Iguana’s. I kind of wanted to get the Burritozilla, but I didn’t know if it would be worth it. Alex didn’t really have an opinion. For someone that lived her life in San Jose, she hadn’t tried either La Vic’s or Iguana’s. How disappointing. Any how, we ended up going to Iguana and sharing a Burritozilla between the four of us.

We grabbed some tapioca from Quickly’s down the block. Then we walked towards San Jose State and listen to a band rehearse. They were playing pieces from popular movies. The time on our parking meter was expiring so we headed back We didn’t know what to do afterwards, so I called up Louis and we drove around for a little bit. We ended up going to Valley Fair. Thank goodness Alex was with us because no one knew how to get there. Since we had nothing better to do, we all started looking for a fedora, since I wanted a fedora. Well, after scouring the stores for a fedora that would fit, we returned to the car empty handed.

Just went on the computer when I went back. I do not even remember what I did. At around 8 I felt restless and went out for a walk. I tried doing a flawed meditation at the creek near the bridge at school. Those 30 minutes felt definitely longer than I thought they would. Overall, it was a pretty fun day.

Oh, I also attempted to start the uberman sleeping schedule. So far:

slept at 11pm, slept at 2am, slept at 5pm. At each interval I tried to take a 30-minute interval nap. The 2am one was only 10 minutes. I am not even sure what happened at 5. When I woke up at 11:30, I went on the computer and chatted to Victoria. Thanks Vic for listening, it was very appreciated and relieving. At 2:30am I worked on Pineapple Express for a little bit and watched Super 8. My brother had just returned from Yvonne, who apparently is her girlfriend. I am always out of the loop, regardless of the loop. I set the alarm for 5 because I wanted to catch the sunrise at 6:16am. Today was such a cloudy day. Any how, I spent half an hour walking to mission to see the sunrise and when the time came, the sun was masked by layers of cloud. So after waiting a few minutes to see if there would be anything worth seeing, I walked back. I am definitely getting slower or something because that took more than half an hour to get back. And now I am here writing another entry.

Thinking happy thoughts when you have been a naturally solemn person is very energy consuming. Time for another attempt at a hurdle.

Last week was one of the best weekends I have had in a long time. Thanks Jessica for coming up! Have a safe trip in Asia ^^.

This weekend I am spending in the Bay. I am going to go to San Jose in a bit to eat lunch at La Vic’s. Let us see how well that turns out.

So I am taking a unit filler class called Healthy Living, and it is actually pretty interesting. I guess I would have thought the material was dumb if I had taken it earlier but I have not been feeling that well adjusted. But yesterday’s class was fun. The first half was a bit dull since the coach was talking about stressors and influencers. But it had a good take-away. You cannot change how events unravel. You can, however, change your reaction to events. Your reaction to events is much more influential than the events. Perspective is 90% of life. So have a good outlook on life. Also, just because you are hurting do not hurt other people. So I am humbly apologizing for being a total douchebag or jackass to anyone at any time. Carry on!

For anything else such as objects and classes, it does a shallow copy, copying the address.

So to create a copy of an object or class, you have to create a copy function of some sort.

I was working on a deep copy function but realized that it’s a little more troublesome than the problem seems at first. One reason is that what if the object has other instances of objects? If you don’t do a deep copy of those, it will point to the same address. So you would have to find a way to deep copy those things too. Recursion should solve it, so that shouldn’t be a problem. I guess it’s not that big of a problem. I had a little trouble with getting the constructor name in order to generalize a copy function though.

Here’s my go at a deep copy function (NOTE: this does not copy functions):

JQuery has a good function to copy things (by John Resig http://stackoverflow.com/questions/122102/what-is-the-most-efficient-way-to-clone-a-javascript-object):

Change the time zone on the fax/printer/scanner combo from UTC -7 to UTC -8 because of daylight savings.

Do not question why there is daylight savings still, even if we have changed from an agrarian lifestyle. It works and that is that.

Do not question why the manufacturer of this device did not also program a simple variable flag for daylight savings. It simply was not in the specifications. And if it was in the specifications, then they are just either lazy asses or they were rushed. Accept the fact. Move on.

Remember to change it back to UTC -7 at the daylight savings after this one. And send yourself a reminder. Why? Because you are awesome.
